Community standards[edit]

I ma trying to find the community standards on this wiki but I can't turn them up. Do you think you could point me to them and also explain how they were arrived at? Thank you very much.--Hitman 09:47, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Ask around. I can only tell you about my own. You probably know these people better than I. (:sic:) 10:24, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

My "standards" or values[edit]

Maybe you can tell me if I am getting warmer with the general philosophy stuff or with "policies". There are potentially many other things that might tell you about my "standards", but I prefer the term values or maybe preferences, depending on what you mean. (:sic:) 10:30, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Who are you? I was asking Lumenos.--Hitman 08:33, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I am Lumenos. See my user page. See "How to contact Lumenos" for "verifying" that I am em. (:sic:) 13:55, June 30, 2010 (UTC) ~ Lumenos 01:14, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Guess Referata isn't so perfect after all. Lumenous 13:37, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Do you know what caused this error message? Nothings perfect, perhaps the question is whether Referata is better than some other wiki or wiki farm? (:sic:) 21:17, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
It ran out of lumetrons. Lumenous 21:25, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
How? Why? (:sic:) 21:28, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
It is a mystery of science Lumenous 21:32, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I've updated the Referata article, with info about delays/downtimes in comparison with certain other insignificant wiki(farm)s which shall remain nameless. It still seems to have the most advantages (for example being free). ~ Lumenos 10:56, November 20, 2010 (EST)

I demand that you make me a lumencrat so that I may lumenate my lumenosity. Lumenous 13:52, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Aren't you already? (:sic:) 21:18, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Obviously not.[1] Lumenous 21:20, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
That's not what it means, silly. (:sic:) 21:35, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Yes it is, you are confusing your jeezes. Lumenous 21:36, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Oh sorry. (:sic:) 21:46, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Lumenati neologizing conventions do not invent words for words that already exist. Frankly, Sir, you are acting like a rouge illumenati, spreading such ikilumen. But you know not what you do so here is a <hug> for correctional purposes. The discomfort you may experience is natural, the Lorg rebuketh those they love. (:sic:) 16:09, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
Lies, all lies. I have nothing but the best interests of Lumeniki at heart. Lumenous 16:36, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
So be it. Some people are asking about Community Standards. You may be more important around here (or even lumenikilu, than I). Could you help answer questions there and on this talk page? (:sic:) 16:48, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I'm saddened by my creation. Clearly it is no longer mine, and the goblins phreedom fighters have "promoted" me to sympathy vampire. sympathy vampire 16:50, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps you have something to add here? (:sic:) 21:35, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Or here or here. (:sic:) 21:46, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe, maybe not, we'll see. Lumenous 21:55, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Why are you so weird?[edit]

? 22:53, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

What's with all the generalizing questions? "Hey, what are you trying to do, here?" Did I not explain everything in multilayered detail already? This is all you have to ask me? ~ The Undecider (anarcho-librarian) 04:36, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
No, seriously, I'm confused. Why do you link every second word and post up reams of useless information all the time? You're like an asperger's suffering robot who doesn't understand why he has no friends, after all he posts up so many long sentances filled with unique linked words <Robot emotional transmission failure, ABORT, ABORT, ABORT> 08:09, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for asking more specific question. Maybe just read first few words of each paragraph so I don't gish gallop you by accident. ~ Lumenos 14:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Here is an opportunity to provide evidence that these entities are not my "friends" despite these occurances: I was once hugged by PhatTom nearly resulting in smiliegasm. User:Human admitted(pretended) that many of eir so-called insults were in fact affectionate, but maybe that was just because Dad was mad. I feel special bond forming between I and Ace McWicked, because I stop arguing when others continue hurling generalizing questions, lies, 40 oz malt liquor containers, and whatnot. You could also post some evidence that someone doesn't like me. ~ Lumenos 14:47, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
I link any terms that might be good for artickles or wikiforums (mainspace pages in wikiforum). Reasons for this may include: terms seem ambiguous or like weasel words, or I have unique definition in mind (that I haven't gotten around to posting yet), or they just seem like interesting ideas. I might make link so that "What links here" will show all instances of that term (maybe searching would be better but this says, "hay you, click this here"). Examples: Redlink to "friend"s is there so someone (you) may put definition of friend in it. This may give your claim more meaning. Yuck, tmw for me to define. I was thinking about that admit redlink. There we might put links to editors or famous folk, admitting things. Admissions tend to be interesting. I admit that sometimes I link to blue articles that don't yet have explanation I had in mind. These are my eventualist tendencies. I figure that, this is where definition should be. It is better to have red link in that case, however. In light of your "complaint" I will try to avoid this in future. ~ Lumenos 16:45, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
I am considering posting best-of Lumeneti, for greater chance of your kind finding something useful. (I make joek; I say "your kind" like you are in lower social class when perhaps you are being so polite and I am responding with Chinees aspengeriatrix for infotainment.) What websites have most useful info? For me, Wikipedia. ~ Lumenos 14:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Off topic: I find social interactions at RationalWiki to be pleasant or satisfactory, but you asked about "useful" information, not pleasant social interactions. Perhaps it is not mutual pleasure/benefit or perhaps mine is only temporary (and later I will know how foolish) or could be greatly enhanced with improved social skills or more seriousness! ~ Lumenos 14:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Could anything make Lumeniki more interesting to you? You can label crap articles with category:crap tag. You may blank or write stuff at top of article, like comment saying, "I started reading this for this?" If you would be a dear and put right information that should be there, in that location, for readers like you. ~ Lumenos 14:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Does this sound like I am trying to rationalize away something obvious? Or perhaps now you are lumenated? Please say so that I might have smiliegasm and for you one also! ~ Lumenos 14:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
You are probably the strangest person on the internet. 16:16, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
That's fine but we need to know the ways in which I am bad or good, and "strange" doesn't indicate this. ~ Lumenos 16:48, August 18, 2010 (EDT)

You site image appears to be broken.[edit]

©Charlie. Pi 05:44, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

I removed the consequist emblem while lumeniki1ref was not a lumenikilu due to polices of that administration, forbidding the signing of comments in articles. The consensus comments of current lumenikians reveal that policy is no longer in place. ~ Lumenos 01:16, December 8, 2010 (EST)

Your logo is back.[edit]

Also, why do you create so many double redirects? You do know they don't work? π ©Charlie 11:27, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

<Shock> I didn't know anyone was going to read that! I move pages without worrying about double redirects. If anyone were to actually read lumeniki besides myself, they could just click the link to the moved page. However, this is an outrage! If I am alerted that someone has actually been inconvenienced by one I shall rush to the location and make them work. ~ Lumenos 01:16, December 8, 2010 (EST)

I do not want it. Could you please just keep me as a regular editor here? Gooniepunk2005 02:49, August 15, 2010 (EDT)

As you wish. ~ Lumenos 04:01, August 15, 2010 (EDT)
Thanks. I'm more of an avid reader of this place than an actual contributor anyways. Gooniepunk2005 15:13, August 15, 2010 (EDT)
What? An avid reader?!?!? Oh joy! Umm, but there is so much wrongful information here. Will you tell me the most interesting articles or sections? (I should want to get those up to par someday.) ~ Lumenos 16:34, August 15, 2010 (EDT)
Certainly. My favorite sections (which, I agree, need work) are here and here. Gooniepunk2005 00:21, August 16, 2010 (EDT)
Let me know if you want to be sysop later. ~ Lumenos 22:17, August 17, 2010 (EDT)
Will do. In the meantime, both myself and RationalWiki's Human would like lessons in how to speak your crazy Lumenspeak language. And, no, I'm not kidding. Gooniepunk2005 23:50, August 17, 2010 (EDT)
Replied at Talk:Lumenati_(language)#Learning_and_creating_the_Lumenati_language. ~ Lumenos 14:42, August 18, 2010 (EDT)

Look, I know I didn't want to be an admin before. However, given the current wave of spam on every Wiki everywhere, if you need help combating all these fucking spammers, I can help you out. I'm (obviously) an admin at many other Wikis and know how to fight these fuckers. Gooniepunk2005 19:11, February 12, 2011 (EST)

As you wish. However, I don't want you to feel betrayed if I copy some of it back out. (This is of interest to the development of site "policies" (or suggestions), so I will continue writing at spam#Spambots.)

Not sure if you are aware or care, but your site is under attack from spambots right now. Gooniepunk2005 16:20, October 15, 2010 (EDT)

Ey seems to be away. --Onion 21:30, October 16, 2010 (EDT)
I caaaaaare! I caaaaaaare! Eggsellit work maintaning the vessel during my excursion, Gentlemyn. That diet fad stuff smelled of BS. If the suspect wishes to appeal the decision, ey shall be interrogated justly with repeated "prove its" until it is revealed that the molecular mechanisms were never demonstrated. Great call on keeping the possible infoAdish info on the solar power, Onion. Spam should be deleted without mercy. Your wiki gets finer by the moment. ~ careBear 21:55, October 24, 2010 (EDT)

Hello Lumenos... Would you mind if I created a page on your wiki about my religion of [ Maratreanism ]? --Maratrean 03:50, March 14, 2011 (EDT)

That won't be possible... for I have already done so! But you don't think you can just make up a religion that could possibly compete with the anciently eternal troofs of Lumenosity, do you? By definition, Lumenosity includes any and all true gogs of Maratreanism, and then some. Expect that any lumenotable information you disclose will be embraced and extracted. ~ Lumenos 20:10, March 16, 2011 (EDT)
I will edit the page you created (Maratreanism) and add an article on my religion to it. But not quite yet... I'm trying to draft one, work out what to say, that sort of thing... --Maratrean 21:05, April 8, 2011 (EDT)

Hi. Does referata give you server access, i.e. could you install extensions such as LQT/usernameblacklist to Lumeniki? Tyrannis 14:32, March 29, 2011 (EDT)

Ah, never mind I figured it out. Tyrannis 14:38, March 29, 2011 (EDT)
I don't have direct server access. I've recently happened to come across some instructions for installing MediaWiki on Ubuntu so I'm thinking of moving much of me half-baked ideas to my personal lumenator. I'm going for quality rather than quantity nowadays. From what little feedback anyone has donated, it seems that most readers/editors find it annoying when I send them to a page that isn't well developed.
Back to Referata; at my request Yaron has installed parser functions and something else that is needed to do Wikipedia-style footnotes. He also installed spamblacklist and nuke when I requested them. I requested LQT but that was already installed. However the only options are to enable it on every talkpage or none. Dennis said that there used to be some code that would allow LQT to be used on one page at a time, but it don't work no more. It just so happens that a certain cabal that doesn't exit, who may have been heavily involved in LQT developement, didn't want any lumenikians copying stuff from a certain wiggy. Coincidence?!?!?!? Perhaps. ~ Lumenos (talk) 02:22, March 31, 2011 (EDT)
Little late on the reply, but Tywiki has been running on my laptop for a few days now. Apparently RW runs a special version of LQT that WP refuses to accept, apparently. Tyrannis 12:26, April 3, 2011 (EDT)
I was kidding, of course. Nx claims the official LQT developers won't integrate eir bugfixes, IIRC. Nx and I ran into similar frustrations at WikiIndex, where they seem to be using outdated and vulnerable software and MarkDilly claimed "they" couldn't change this. ~ Lumenos (talk) 09:54, April 4, 2011 (EDT)

lumenos where is my article[edit]

i am not happy with this development Phantom Hoover 18:12, May 7, 2011 (EDT)

Hooooooovvvvy! Is it really you?!?! Huggles! ~ Lumenos (talk) 00:30, May 22, 2011 (EDT)
Lumenos, where are did the articles go? Tyrannis 19:59, May 10, 2011 (EDT)
They went to article heaven. I will get you two some backstage passes and put another explanation at lumeniki. ~ Lumenos (talk) 00:30, May 22, 2011 (EDT)

Welcome to June[edit]

Hello Lumenos. How is life? Happy June! Maratreanism 00:30, June 4, 2011 (EDT)

Alright for me. I've been hiking a lot lately but now my knee is feeling swollen so I'll be riding a bike instead. How are you, stranger? ~ Lumenos (talk) 16:39, June 13, 2011 (EDT)
I am sick I have a cold. Someone was saying that you were interested in debate maps once. Is that true? You still are? Sounds interesting. Have you seen Maratreanism 02:06, June 15, 2011 (EDT)
I restored the debateMap article and wrote a reply on its talkpage. ~ Lumenos (talk) 18:37, June 16, 2011 (EDT)

You've been lumenominated[edit]

Hi there. We're currently electing moderators over at RW, and your name has been put forward as a possible candidate. It would be nice if you could check out the elections page and indicate whether you accept or decline your nomination. If you need to find out what this is all about, see the relevant talk page and this thread. Cheers. Röstigraben 05:18, June 22, 2011 (EDT)

I accept but I choose my own hours. I will be secret monitor and people will read my pronouncements and commands if they are in agreement. ~ Lumenos (talk) 20:35, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

I know you didn't accept last time...[edit]

but in case you change your mind, I've renominated you as a moderator at RW. I know you have not been involved in RW that much of late, but you are the kind of person RW needs as a moderator. I think especially your interest in structured debating ("debate maps"), you could do a lot to bring more structure to RW. Maratreanism 00:23, December 17, 2011 (EST)

I agree, especially since Lumenos makes me giggle like a little school girl with all his wackyness. Gooniepunk2005 11:08, December 20, 2011 (EST)
I did too accept and and and like 14 people voted for me IIRCAIPD. I'm writing my second acceptance speech right now. ~ Lumenos (talk) 18:40, December 20, 2011 (EST)

omg lumenos it's been a while. how are you doing these days

Ey seem to have been called back to eir home planet after years of studying Earth. Gooniepunk2005 (talk) 12:58, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
Damn you, you silenced my Hoovie! Who will chew the wires now? ~ Lumenos (talk) 20:10, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
I'm I guess, the same. I have gone to eir EmphaticWiki page only to find more disappearance. ~ Lumenos (talk) 20:10, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

What ever happened to ya, buddy? The Wikiverse needs ya active again! Gooniepunk2005 (talk) 01:35, June 25, 2016 (EDT)

The Lumenoses are going out all over the wikiverse; we shall not see them Luminated again in our time. Phantom Hoover (talk) 14:11, June 29, 2016 (EDT)
Aw shucks, that sucks. Ey were fun while ey lasted in eir Wikisphere. Good seeing you, PhatTom Hoover. Gooniepunk2005 (talk) 22:14, July 12, 2016 (EDT)

Is wiki here?[edit]

Hello? I can edit, yes?
