User:Lumenos/Community Standards (Lumenos)
Moved the secret Community Standards proposal about using scientific methods of measuring consensus, to User:Lumenos/Debate Map:Measuring consensus, since some apparently find it disingenuous for us to update or move, our comments. There may we conspire in peace!

"Talk page" conventions[edit]
Wikipedia[edit]
No one has ever complained about the way I edit talk pages on Wikipedia. Here is just one example, I could show you many others. ~ Lumenos (talk) 04:20, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- The editor who nominated the page I created, for deletion is named User:Ipatrol. Ey verified that [ey is the same person] as at RationalWiki. ~ The Undecider (anarcho-librarian) 23:27, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
McTavish didn't appreciate me doing something. I think I moved their comment from Lumeniki (or maybe email) to Wikipedia. I "deleted" it after he complained. ~ Lumenos (talk) 04:20, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Sections[edit]
Human[edit]
Some unwritten "community standards" (Human).
- Human has some problem with the way I created a section. I explained my reason and he changed it this way twice: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/index.php?title=User_talk%3ALumenos&diff=610952&oldid=610951 ~ Lumenos (talk) 02:31, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Indentation[edit]
P-Forester[edit]
Suspected "wandalism" I fear reverting because it is done by those who I fear may block me, etc. P-Forester is a bureaucrat who does this in this diff. (I don't mind if you comment here, please don't wandalise like that on this page, if we are allowed the privilege of having this page edited my way.) ~ Lumenos (talk) 02:13, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

My research into RationalWiki talk page conventions has been moved to Lumeniki, following threats of banning by an anonymous editor who appears to be an administrator. ~ Lumenos (talk) 04:45, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Lumenos, you are insane. Threats? From an IP???? Get a grip. Please. User:Human/sig 05:53, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- I found later that setting up Pibot is just copying something to the page, so I guess they are not an admin, necessarily. They seem like they know their way around the place. People get blocked here for nothing. If that keeps happening I will have to move stuff to Lumeniki anyway. May as well do it now. Maybe then people won't edit it and then BBBWWWAAAAAAAA when they find I have improved some of my past arguments. ~ Lumenos (talk) 09:49, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- You moron, people get "blocked" here all the time, it's a hobby of many of us. But people only block other sysops (they can unblock themselves), and for very short times. You really don't get this place, do you? User:Human/sig 10:05, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- I knew that. I'm not saying it is a major threat. I would rather edit some place where this doesn't happen. It seems protecting pages might be a way to prevent edit conflicts but I would rather do something less forceful like post on someone's talk page, "give me 5 minutes to edit". But there is a greater "threat" now. Ace McWicked and Gooniepunk have expressed their wish that we not "argue" there. Ace apparently relies on Recent Changes (or is looking out for those who do) so ey is detrimented by my flooding of Recent Changes. Thus my response here. Think of it more as "politeness". I would edit that comment to strikeout "threat" since that is a bit of an exaggeration, but this seems problematic so I suppose anyone who reads that page may get the impression we are arguing, when that is no longer true (because I am so much more socially intelligent than you, that I'm not compelled to return your insults with insults ;)).
